Dawgs playing like crap today. Just gave away set 3 when they were up 18-14. Leading 2-1, but have looked bad all day long. They better not let this go to 5 sets.

Dawgs imploding. Up 15-13 in set 4, give up an 8-1 run. This is gonna go 5, and they are probably gonna lose. What a disappointing showing today.

Whew. Dawgs pull it out 15-11 in set 5. Dayton outhit and outblocked the Dawgs. They won from the service line. Less errors and more aces. Flyers gotta be kicking themselves, they really should've pulled off the upset.

Strange match against Louisville. Dawgs started out strong, then had to hang on to win the 1st set. Generally played poorly in set 2 and 3 and dropped both. Out to a huge lead in set 4, hopefully will force a 5th set. Pac 12 having their worst showing in FOREVER. 3 of the 5 teams dropped their first match, including 2 seeded teams getting upset. Oregon and Washington are the only 2 left. It was an extremely rare down year for Stanford and they didn't even make the Tournament.

Wow! Were dead in the water in the 5th set, but finished on a 10-2 run to win 15-13. Most of it behind the serving of Bogomalova. Pitt next up, tomorrow morning.

I didn't realize they had such a short turn around after yesterday's match. I hope they have something left in the tank this morning. Go Dawgs!

And the Dawgs are completely dead in the water...again. Down 2-1 and trailing big in set 4. Looked bad in set 1. Were looking bad in set 2 and I quit watching. Somehow came back and won. Had a commanding lead in set 3 and somehow let that slip away. Also sounds like they've been getting screwed by the officials throughout the match. I did see one of the controversial plays, they lost a challenge that was blatantly obviously the wrong call, and after review they affirmed the initial call. I don't know how it was even possible to mess that up, but they did.

Trailing 23-16 in the 4th. There's no way possible they can pull this out. Too bad.

Another volleyball season is here. Dawgs were decent in the pre conference. Got thumped by Ohio St., the best team they played, won all the other matches. Started off Pac 12 play 0-2. Both were against good teams--Utah and Washington St. Today they dropped a 5 setter in Pullman. The 4th set was INSANE. First to 25 but you have to win by 2. The Dawgs won the set 46-44. I don't think I've EVER seen a set go that long before.

Dawgs lost 2 in a row in conference out of the gate--Utah and Washington St. Since then have reeled off 6 straight wins, including the LA schools and Oregon. UCLA is sitting in first place thus far. Dawgs have a bad habit of losing the first set, and have had quite a few 5 setters, but they are a gritty group.

Big match on Sunday. Dawgs and Stanford are 2 of the 3 teams tied atop the league standings at 7-2, they will square off at Hec Ed.

I haven't watched much volleyball so far this season. Tuned into this one. UW took set one. Went back and forth, Dawgs pulled away late. Set 2 is a tight one again. UW great Courtney Thompson is on the coaching staff w/ Stanford. That doesn't quite seem right.

UW won close sets in #1 and #2, then ran away w/ Set 3. I really was not expecting a sweep. Great job!
