Great find, seawallrunner. Love looking at the little dots with names next to them - places that barely qualify as "place names" today, like Boistfort, or Riffe. Gotta love yet another spelling variant of "Quinault" up.gif

Some of these names have changed since this map from 1855 of the Washington Territory.

I can't quite see all the names,, but Mt baring was still mt index on that map.

I'm sorry. Barring mountain, was previously index mt. When they changed the names it inverted to mt index. Not sure what the reasoning for putting the mount before or after the name is.
