Going to the Sawtooth's in Idaho for a 10 day trip to Hell Roaring/Imogine Lakes Basin. Leaving July 24th and returning August 2nd. Will be staying in Stanley on the 24th and again on August 1. Want to go this year but I will be without Insurance from June 1st to late April as I will be retired and will loose coverage unless I can find something not to crazy expensive! Will be 65 next year and on Medicare. Long way off I know, but I like to have something to look forward too!

Kind of planning a bit far ahead aye? The world might end by then the way things are going.. No way I am going back to the Winds in July, the bugs will carry you away.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Kinda depends on what areas you're in. I was in the Winds for 2 straight weeks backpacking/peakbagging in July 2020 and had bugs only 1 night. All 13 other days and nights there were no bugs!

The Pacific coast to the Great Plains = my playground!!! SummitPost Profile See my website at: http://www.lemkeclimbs.com
