I just found out about Via Ferrata hikes, and I am very interested in getting into it. But I would like to have someone who has done it before to go with me my first time whom I can ask some gear and safety questions, or even just someone that can give me some pointers as I get into it.

Sea to Sky gondola in Squamish has a via ferrata and also guided tours for beginners.
Challenge - it’s in British Columbia. But not too far of a drive, and the views on the way are not too shabby either.
There’s a via ferrata in Whistler as well

Ya, don't forget your coffee gnome, remember that one trip where you had to high tail it back to town because you forgot your coffee? Glad I'm not that addicted like many of these Seattleites.
Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

I did the Rotstock via ferrata in the Bernese Overland of Switzerland a few years back.
Highly recommend.
The downside was that the route was enveloped in fog from the Eigergletscher Station upward (no expansive views).
The upside is I had the whole route to myself.
The best view of the day, on the walk to Eigergletscher Station from Kleine Scheidegg Nearing the start The start (the first ladder is visible in the center of the image) On route On route The final traverse looking toward the summit. On route The final ladder The summit view

Kletter weg - ladder way
The German/Austrian version. I've done one in the Kleinwalsertal, my relatives have a restraurant and an "RV" park in Riezlern.

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.
