I have a small (2 percentile) seven year old whom I'm looking for a day/overnight pack for. I'm not going to make her carry much, but some. I have an REI and Osprey day pack, but they're too large for her torso length. Any recommendations for much smaller packs? My four year old would be able to use it after she grows out of it, if she doesn't pass her up in size before then! Thanks.

Osprey has a 10 L kids back with just the shoulder straps that might be an option (rated for 4-12 years). Could definitely get their own clothes within 10L. https://www.osprey.com/us/en/product/daylite-kids-DAYLTKIDSS20_205.html Anything with a hip belt will be trickier to fit.

This looks like just the ticket, thanks!
