1971-1974 above (1974 was the lowest advance) then it retreated...

Thanks for those old photos. Am I right in thinking based on your photos that the Carbon Glacier was advancing during this period? It would be fun if someone could post current photos for comparison.

Yes and no. Drift to AGW, models, predictions, public policy, etc. would be off limits but I don't see user contributed observations illustrating glacial retreat or advance to be all that contentious.

Not sure why you would want to. I'd think historical images / comparisons would be of interest no matter what your beliefs are. I suppose the topic could be contentious to any who don't believe glaciers have retreated, but I think the debate tends to be about the other stuff (causes, predictions, public policy, etc).

yes it was advanceinng 1974 looked like the extreme point even in my other pictures its left side was mowing down the alder trees that were there
