Hi Yuri, I too am sorry for your loss. Yes, I know this bridge and this area very well. In fact, the "Ladder" shown in your picture is what myself and my colleagues personally built. I have emailed additional information to your email account. Skip

It’s hard to believe that after 16 years that this “3-5 year project” may finally be fixed eh?? Lol!

Maybe is correct. I am thinking Silver creek, Troublesome, Blanca, and the North fork trail may get alot more activity once the road opens.

Silver Creek hike has been a bucket list item for me for years! I agree, hopefully it does fix the road. It would be nice for a better access point.

It’s definitely going to be weird seeing other people (other than property owners) on the trail to Mineral City again after nearly 2 decades! Nature has basically reclaimed trail over the years, as what often happens. However, recent efforts from property owners (Thanks Alan and Hunter!!) have greatly improved conditions. Only 1 gulch-bridge is still in existence, and that one is just barely hanging on.

I would like to count the cars at Blanca Lake after this opens. Maybe the new Colchuck.

Art is an adventure.

For sure, people will leave trash and poop all over the place.

Mineral City is a dangerous hike these days with all the bridges gone and the rock slide what it is now. Its not really a general public hike.

none

Yeah! Yeah! No one should even attempt the treacherous trail any more!! Everyone should concentrate their efforts on Heather Lake or Lake 22 trails! Please, for the safety of you and your children, stay far far away!!! 😜

People need to make their own evaluation as to their skills when out hike. Sure people can get hurt but they also need to practice restraint
