My daughter Kyra found this plant in the woods near her house in Leavenworth. Haven't figured out the family yet, any ideas?

The fiddlehead shaped coils make me think it’s in the Boraginaceae.

Saw this yesterday on Mt. Townsend. Does anyone know what it is?

This flower is problematical for me. I'm hoping folks will put this image in their flower ID apps and let me know what it says. The image was taken in Washington.

It is a Delphinium - possibly D. nuttallianum or maybe D. menziesii. Delphinium nuttallianum

Thanks Marta. I have already ruled out the two species you suggest.

If you are in Chelan or Kittitas Counties, it may be Delphineum lineapetalum - which is common in those areas. It varies in color but usually has a purplish violet tone. The petals are actually the small whitish lobes and are lined with purple or dark purple.

In re the Silky Phaecelia above: Just as added info: there are many species of phaecelia, one of which, phaecelia tanacetifolia, I used to grow when I was a beekeeper. All pollinators seem to love them. I'd love to grow the silky phaecelia since it's a native, but given that it's a subalpine/alpine plant it probably wouldn't do well in the lowlands, if you could even find a nursery-cultivated one.
