I have really been stretched this year with things that scare me, and this hike was no exception. I would have scooted over the log cross, if it weren't for my pride and fear of looking stupid. Here's the link to the story, and I'll also include my poem I wrote about log "bridges" I wrote after the Wonderland, just for fun. I'm WAY better than I used to be...but I still hate them waah.gif https://kellbell-whywouldanyonereadthis.blogspot.com/2022/07/hiking-with-big-dogs.html My Hiking fear Is pretty clear For those darn log bridges Do bring a tear I imagine a fall Cause they’re all pretty tall And breaking both my ankles Would sure make me bawl Just a handrail, please It brings such ease And lightens those fears That do love to tease But if there isn’t one A ford I won’t shun But if the river I can’t traverse I’ll creep across that log till I’m done
