You can see the trail from Evergreen LO up to Frog Mtn., and beyond, toward Benchmark, Fortune Ponds and the Crest trail. I wonder if there are remnants of Goblin Cr Forest Camp; currently, you can see where Quartz Cr Forest Camp was / is; at least I think so. Quartz Creek trailhead moved a little north from its original location at some point (from what I can tell on old maps), but I think all that flat that is there now is probably the old camp. I can't zoom in enough to see some other cool stuff, which is good, because I'm working.

It's good that they mentioned only smoking at camp. An old family friend used to ride the log train up the Beckler. Then during the fire season they closed the woods down to access. Have poked around at some of the old forest camps.

The first time my parents took me camping was in about 1962 and we camped at Goblin creek. I always wondered why my dad picked that location and now I can connect the dots. He worked on building the Benchmark lookout and probably stayed at the Goblin Creek forest camp and knew there was a good site for camping. We went up there several times. One summer there was a guy "Kelly the welder" that had a semi-permanent camp set up. He probably stayed there all summer. One time he had a water wheel set up in the creek. Does anyone else remember that?
