Alright fine Lower Melakwa was easy even if I thought I was being sly. How about this one from 7/25?
Also a popular area. Or near enough to one.

Looks like the basin just NNW above Royal Tarn in ONP, between Clark, Sundial and Johnson(?).

You got it. Surprise Basin/Tarn. Here's a photo from Aaron when it was all melty. Ozzy has posted some recent half melted photos too. https://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8032826#&pid=50404601817 Sundial sure is a cool peak, isn't it? Like a little Half Dome. I bet it would be a fun climb.

Borank clearly knows this one, but maybe others need a hint. This lake shares its name with a lake next to a certain famous volcano in our state.

Spirit! I thought it looked a little Teanaway-ey. Been to Ingalls, Ann, and some tarns in that area. But never that one or Gallagher Head.

Yep, you got it! It's a bit steep to get down to, but not far from Van Epps Pass. I found a bunch of boot paths heading down into the forest from a flat spot on the ridge up to Van Epps Peak. However, the paths seemed to keep disappearing and I didn't find any trails down at the lake. Here are a few more shots.

This lake has been described as a "damp buggy hell hole" by one NW Hiker. And another chimed in to proudly proclaim they have been "denouncing" this lake for years. So, I really let fly with some major denunciations when I saw it, just to get into the spirit. Then on the way back I denounced it some more. No peaks in the background and a silvered snag in the foreground, will make this one un-identifiable to the un-initiated. If you happen to hike by it, dont hold back; administer a scathing denunciation of your own. It feels pretty good actually.

Winner winner chicken dinner! It's the very denounceable, Dagger lake! I noticed the map says there is a horse camp down there, which seems perfect, for that kind of lake.

This lake/lakes are off trail between I-90 and Hwy 2. Lots of elevation gain and off tail hiking
