I was intrigued by a recent TR from Am0ngTh3Pin3s which described a possible Bearpaw- Church traverse. Also found TRs from TellimaChris and Roy Jensen with lots of detailed information. Can't get the URL button to work, so you'll have to look them up!
Church and Bearpaw Pyramid-Equipped Bathing Ramp Church Lake Shuksan Bearpaw Pond Big Rocks Crowding a Small Pond view ahead from the shoulder of Bearpaw redpond Whistler! Side Whistle Whistler Outlet Above Whistler Camp Moon A Rare Double Moon Ice Tarn! View from the Ridge above Whistler basin Nooksack Tranquility Zone Winding Back Down Why Can't I Just Stay Here Forever?
I probably could have made it to Kidney Lakes and the Church Mtn trail, but the heat and the bugs sort of did me in. I may come up here again sometime, if I can sucker somebody else into driving. The road is like some kind of authentic 19th century engineering marvel. Also: The Bees! Wow! A beekeeper has boxes stacked at the turnoff to road 3160. The TH is swarming with bees!

As always, a nice collection of well composed photos. I guess I should try getting a camera some day!

Thanks, HTT. My composition skills largely consist of using the Rotate, Crop and Image Size tools in my 10 year old version of Photoshop. Someday I hope to learn proper color correction editing techniques.

Super lovely Contour! Thanks for getting the explorational juices flowing in my veins again. It is a fine little nook to explore in my neighborhood.
