We just got the Big Agnes Skyline chairs and they are a game changer. Not for thru hikes, or on the move high routes, but for day hikes and shorter in and out backpack trips their comfort and stability (at 29oz.) is convincing.
Lightest comfy seat I've found is a ten inch section of cut down Z rest foam (5 folds is nice). Only a few ounces and combined with your pack as a back rest (set against a rock or tree) works well. But, it doesn't allow you to have a seat, with a backrest, in the location of your choice, with the view of your choice
