POV from the other end (outlet) if it helps to identify.

Seems like I killed the momentum with the last lake, so I will offer up a much easier one.

I think it's on Icicle ridge somewhere, maybe Lake Sylvester. It might also be Lake Ida. I'm going to guess Lake Ida (although it's been many years since I was last there).

I would also bet on it being Horseshoe as that looks like Stuart in the background not Cashmere. I also don't believe Ida has a piece of land that juts into the lake from the side this photo was taken. This crappy pano shows what I believe is the same view of Stuart from the other side of the lake:
Horseshoe 6/21
Horseshoe 6/21
Not sure where the "peninsula" shown above would be on the Eastern shore (left here) of Ida
Ida 8/21
Ida 8/21
No idea on the photo posted by Downhill on 9/14. Though it does look familiar.

Horseshoe lies right below Stuart. Stuart looms over the lake.

Horseshoe is several miles closer to Stuart.

Consider me surprised! I guess it was overcast on the day I tagged Ida.

Well, if you draw a line from Mount Stuart to Lake Ida on a map, it passes pretty close to Horseshoe Lake, so you had the right angle. I confess I don't remember noticing Mount Stuart from Lake Ida's shores, but I do remember that you have to pass through the trees that are pictured, as you walk over to the outlet. Finally, and this was the clincher, I actually have a photo of Mt Stuart from the top of my approach gully:

I suspect this lake I visited on Tuesday will be an easy one, based on the evidence of human visitors I found.
