She was a great leader and seemed to be an awesome person. Is it just me or does it seem a little weird and redundant that it takes over a week to bury someone? News coverage every day since she passed, on the news tonight...."Final Farewell"...gawd I hope so! Maybe now she can RIP? So I see that Prince George is Heir to the Throne? He is 9 years old and King Charles is 73..

^^^^ Obviously there was a lot of pent-up "demand" to pay last respects ... a 5 mile line of citizens to just walk past the coffin. The rest, I guess, monarchical theater. You have to sympathize with the new king - being dragged thru all that ceremony, and being so much in the public eye during the funeral. It has to be exhausting. I saw a few news clips - looked like he was going to lose it a few times. But it all goes with the job, I guess. George is #3. Prince William (King Charles' son) is #2.

I agree Annie, hope he holds up, that's a lot to bear (not bare) especially for an older gentleman. But hey, she made 2 pages on a hiking website, I'm sure she would be thrilled. wink.gif Long Live the King!

Except for not letting her sister or son marry the people they wanted to.

New post to the Royal Family instagram account.
May they follow her example now that the hoopla is over: take a break, chill out and go for a long hike.
