She was a great leader and seemed to be an awesome person.
Is it just me or does it seem a little weird and redundant that it takes over a week to bury someone? News coverage every day since she passed, on the news tonight...."Final Farewell"...gawd I hope so! Maybe now she can RIP?
So I see that Prince George is Heir to the Throne? He is 9 years old and King Charles is 73..

^^^^ Obviously there was a lot of pent-up "demand" to pay last respects ... a 5 mile line of citizens to just walk past the coffin. The rest, I guess, monarchical theater. You have to sympathize with the new king - being dragged thru all that ceremony, and being so much in the public eye during the funeral. It has to be exhausting. I saw a few news clips - looked like he was going to lose it a few times. But it all goes with the job, I guess.
George is #3. Prince William (King Charles' son) is #2.

I agree Annie, hope he holds up, that's a lot to bear (not bare) especially for an older gentleman.
But hey, she made 2 pages on a hiking website, I'm sure she would be thrilled.
Long Live the King!
