My understanding of a Types B is primarily in relation to the stockholders. The corporation is freed from responsibility to act primarily to return value to stockholders, if it is acting within its Type B goals.

As I mentioned, the media coverage has become rather more balanced, so plenty to chew on out there if one is interested in legitimate tax avoidance and the situations in which we do or do not tax money given away. I will say if Chouinard surveyed the current state of public lands stewardship and decided more good could be done with the money in private rather than government hands, that is a reasonable assessment.

I wish Patagonia's tops fit better, they're kind of boxy. I have their down sweater, it's heavy for what it is and surprisingly not warm. Heavy zipper gauge, unnecessarily heavy (which means durable) fabric, and the baggy shape lets too much cold air in.
I wanted to fall in love with the R1 Air. Everybody who has one adores it, I wanted to be smiley happy people too. It wasn't meant to be. The texture is very grabby and it's awkward to layer with.
The Nano Air didn't work for me at all, which is odd because the Arc'teryx Proton is a game changer.
That said, everything else of theirs that I've ever used has been excellent.

Once Patagonia started the1% for the planet I could justify buying from them again.
While they make great gear not all of it held up very well as I'm pretty hard on equipment. The hemp pants tho will out last anything made and I do love my micro puff.
