My last trip for 8000 foot peaks out of Slate Pass, it was finally time to return for my worst orphan of Dot Mtn.... Fred hadnt done pk 8165, just south of Dot, so he was down to return to the area with me. Cole was also a last minute addition for his first trip to the Pasayten. We decided on a leisurely start from Slate Pass around 2pm on Friday. We hiked through a fairly steady drizzle until arriving at Lake Doris around 7pm.

We slept in on Saturday, and didnt leave camp for Carru-Lago Col until 10:30. Much, much choss and a little airy scrambling over 8165, Dot was finally in the bag around 2:30pm.

Fred liked the idea of returning to camp by dropping into Lease Creek and ascending to Carru-Osceola col so thats what we did. I think it ended up saving us some time. Cole scrambled up Osecola for dinner. Another cold night in camp.

The next morning, Fred set out for Buckskin Ridge and Cole and I set out for Rolo and Wildcat. Rolo is a fun scramble from Doris Pass, the traverse to Wildcat is very tedious. It was cold and windy. From Wildcat, we dropped to Lake Ferguson and slogged back to the car. We made it down to Mazama to catch the end of the Hawks getting stomped by the 9ers. Geno is who we thought he was...

Cool to see that little glacial remnant still holding on.
