Correct! Way to nail the specifics. smile.gif Getting there wasn't bad, I headed east off the Spade Lake trail just as it was about to drop below 5400' for the last time (coming down from Spade). It took me about an hour to reach the ridge west of the lake at 5850', with some minor sightseeing along the way. From the ridge, it only took 10 minutes to get down to the shore on a very nice bootpath. I saw another bootpath that seemed to be heading downhill on the east side of the outlet gully. Does anyone know if that path goes anywhere? All the way down to the PCT, or maybe the 4400' level of the Spade Lake Trail? I went out the other way to Lake Vicente. PM me if you don't want to share it.

I had a feeling. My coworker is a deadhead and I went down the rabbithole on this lake after I sent him a picture of Mt Jerry Garcia last month. Can't wait to send him your photo. 🙂

Cool! Here's one with Deadhead and Jerry Garcia.
I've been calling the pass north of the lake "Deadhead Pass" - not sure if there is a different name for it.

Here are a couple:
I REALLY enjoyed swimming in the first. And was very enticed by the meadow on the mountain in the background. I'll visit it one day. The second had many flowering water lilies which made it particularly memorable. Though I don't imagine it would otherwise be.

The second one is Hope Lake on the PCT. I have almost that exact picture, minus the lilypads. Still trying to figure out the first one!

You got it! I'm surprised, I thought that would be the harder of the two. The other one was taken ~5 miles away as the crow flies.

D'oh! The first one is Deception Lakes, looking SE toward Mac Peak. Should have known since I was just there three weeks ago. I need to go back there to head over to Square Lake sometime. Those meadows up on Mac Peak look like a fun place to explore too, maybe with a trip to Talus Lake.

I will probably remove this one in a day or two since I will post a TR and that takes all the fun out of the game.
Y'all know where I live - that narrows it down.

One from earlier this week. Do I get extra credit for the obligatory shoe shot?

Hmmm, I have never been to Lichtenwasser, but I guess I should!

It took me a while poring over satellite imagery, but I may have figured it out! Looks like Lake 5387 (aka Welcome Lake) on French Ridge.

If anyone goes there, I accidentally left my blue mini-leatherman (favorite tool) on a rock near the inlet while fishing.

OK, a different perspective which should give this away...
