This photo was taken in the summer of 1970. I am assuming the sign at lower right says [Cascade] "Crest Trail" with an arrow pointing left by the word "South". That implies this is at a junction of the CCT on the east side of the peaks in the background. Can anyone identify where this was taken? I'm not a PCT hiker, but I'm pretty sure it's not in the central Cascades (e.g. Snoqualmie to Stevens)

Could that be Mt. Jefferson in the back on the right?

Thanks for the guess, but Jefferson is an isolated volcanic cone -- there's nothing that could be the peak on the right.
This was taken by a seasonal ranger living in Washington. It doesn't mean it's not someplace else, but it's likely to be in Washington somewhere.

Is that Forbidden in the back ground on the left, with notch further left being Sharkfin Col? Could be Mt Logan on the right. Maybe taken from around Methow Pass area?
