Like Celticclimber, I too ventured out today. With the trustworthy Rossignol BC70s, it turned out to be more trail breaking than skiing as there was about 8 inches of untracked beauty. Hard to believe Hit the Trail and I were just up this way in the sun 2 weeks ago: https://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8036458 Caught a glimpse of Windy Knob and Diamond Head when the sky cleared briefly. My hands stayed warm, no glopping on the skis, and no falls. A successful outing!

So is that Windy Knob on the right? Or left?

The photo was taken from FS#7240, the road we went in on, looking due south. So that's Windy Knob on the left, Diamond Head on the right. (In the far left background is a glimpse of Tronsen Head.)
