Has anyone been to Stehekin in winter recently? Do you have tips for snowshoe or XC ski routes there? Decades ago, there seemed to be lots of talk -- news articles, my ski tour book -- of options, but I haven't seen anything recent. I'm wondering if grooming or plowing or transport has changed.
I asked a local about that very subject. Gist of it was your trespassing pretty much everywhere you go aside from the roads and park. He did mention out by the airstrip was ok.

I think a trip out the road to the orchard might be cool. Very flat and the deer/bear fencing would be fun to see in the offseason. The turn off is basically across from the Rainbow Falls parking area.
