I'm in Winthrop and planning to take advantage of the beautiful weather tomorrow to ski to one of the Rendezvous Huts, enjoy the view, then ski back and eat. I've made day trips to several over the years and remember one with a better view than Rendezvous, but I can't remember which. Maybe the brain trust can help me?
Gardner has a great view and might be the one you are thinking of. As I'm sure you have figured the trails are going to be quite soft tomorrow with the new snow and cold temps.
It's been a few years, I was pretty sure it was either Cassal or Heifer. Gardener is a possibility too, the photo looks like what I remember.
It was very cold last year but it's even colder now. I saw the forecast and just didn't believe this kind of cold existed. I'm doing ok, my car keeps telling me the battery is discharging extra fast and is always low, so that makes me nervous though.
