Hard to catch. When they are caught I bet they’ll be shocked to find the U.S., not Pierce Co., prosecutor takes the case. I assume the U.S. criminal code takes a poor view of such activities.
Well, I would think this would fall under sabotage or terrorism statutes. Hopefully, 30 year mandatory sentences.

Lower Magnolia was apparently attacked today/yesterday. Vertical World was closed, friend said sabotage. Lights were out in the area west of 15th.

Federal data (assuming it is complete) shows nearest substations to Magnolia area are in Fremont and just east of Seattle Center. So far I am not seeing any news reports that either one was attacked in any manner.

My prediction. Just like the Auburn Tylenol poisoning lead to a jillion dollars being spent on tamper resistant packaging, your local substation, now nicely hidden by large thujas is going to be much more visible. Heavy trimming is coming. The substation closest to my home all of a sudden has every light bulb operating.

I'm familiar with that Fremont substation. It powers my corner of Ballard. It was taken down for some hours at night, a few years ago by a bandito with a mask and four legs. Or it might have been a squirrel. I forget. Nothing was stolen. clown.gif

Two men arrested by FBI. At the bottom of the press release is a link to the criminal complaint alleging 2 federal statutes violated. https://www.justice.gov/usao-wdwa/pr/two-charged-attacks-four-pierce-county-power-substations

In addition to anti war another pseudo-political group that damaged a couple substations was the George Jackson Brigade. They hit a couple in Redmond or nearby. Hard to remember how much less populated that area was on the mid-70’s.
