Balloons are one of my pet peeves. It is a rare trip that I don't find a balloon. They are terrible litter. I always shoot a photo and record the location. Someday I'm going to make a database to track them.
Come on Brian it can't be that bad. Besides it gives you something to pack besides fish.

And waste non-renewable gases that are the byproduct of the poisonous natural gas industry!

I think it was Flower Sniffer over a decade ago (damn I'm old) that brought up the environmental issue with balloons. I think I pooh-pooed them about it. Well I was wrong. These are a terrible idea. And while we're at it, it was good to ban plastic bags - a true wildlife win. But adding discarded/lost facemasks onto the roads, streets, lakes, rivers, and every flipping where else put things backwards; maybe worse.... And during COVID, plastic bags came back. I don't know why.

I accept your apology! (Haha! Considering I have hardly been in NWH in quite some time, I can’t believe I logged in this morning and caught this! It made my day! And, yes, balloons are trash, and therefore suck!)

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

Yes they are trash, litter, and there are far too many of them. They are also Paddle-To-The-Sea, the Odyssey, Seven Years in Tibet, The Long Walk Like the expressions of other cultures in other mediums, each has a story to tell if you care to look.

Sometimes balloons are the best way to celebrate the fusion of music, culture and technology while also looking forward to the infinite promise of America's future. Sometimes theyre the only way.
