Just saw a movie that featured a singer I'd never heard of (Andrea von Kampen) in the lead role. Several of her songs appeared during the film. Nice voice. Here's a classic Stephen Foster song that has been done by pretty much everybody:
Here's an original song from the movie:
another original, an ode to Portland, OR:

The hair metal scene got fairly well saturated in the 80s. I don't remember this band at all, but I've caught this song on SiriusXM several times recently. Catchy.

I've probably seen the name of this singer before, but didn't really pay attention. Really grabbed me with a song I heard this morning. She does some solo stuff, but also does a bunch of collabs w/ various DJ/producers. She has a lovely voice.
Here she is doing a stripped down version of a song, showing it's not all digital trickery.

I've liked a number of Illenium's song over the years. I've noticed he often mixes in some guitar, which is not exactly the norm for EDM. Adds something a little extra. This one is fairly new, been hearing it for a couple weeks on SiriusXM.

Since I'm already in EDM mode, a couple more I've been digging recently.

This one gets a bit redundant on the chorus, but otherwise pretty good.

Freya Ridings new release Faces in the Crowd. Just a truly fantastic vocal. Her voice when she wants has the breadth of an orchestra with an array of tones. She is up for the Brit Awards again this year.

Hanna Reid of London Grammar has a beautiful and powerful voice; one of the best in this modern era. "Wasting My Young Years"

Easily the most spectacular live concert ever, thoroughly powerful and modern, hauntingly pure with the clarion clear voice of Hannah Reid, London Grammar: Californian Soil:Live show. 54 minutes
