I thought this was my chance to get "thru hiker" status. I know it's not a northwest hike, but it's a good place for a nwhiker to go this time of year! Well, it normally should be. Some crazy weather happening it California; but we caught a couple good days. Hope you enjoy the story.

Regardless, good work and I'm sure you got to appreciate something different. I've done some of the PCT sections down there. The wind is no joke. Having wind breaks for your tent was so important to me. And I cursed myself for not having a string to hold down my hat while hiking.
I was planning to do the Trans Catalina trail last summer while my kids were in camp on the island. Needed to cancel once there to be another helping hand. We did do a couple dayhikes which were great. Beautiful place!
Keep being adventurous!
