Logbear,
What is resort riding?
I'm guessing snowboarding at a lift served mountain. Crystal maybe? I wouldn't call anything in washington a resort.
Resort riding is what I would say if I was snowboarding at a place like whistler or vail.. Its a common terminology for people who spend time backcountry snowboarding, or splitboarding. I usually say riding lifts for places like stevens pass.
" I'm going to whistler and spending one day riding lifts to get some resort riding in with my wife, then splitting the next day"
Splitting would actually mean a day of backcountry snowboarding, not leaving.
I hope that helps.

I always thought riding meant copulation and "resort riding" was about that place in Darrington.

Thanks for the clarification Ale. I thought it meant like riding rides at say a resort like Disneyland.
I’m a two planker so all that boarder jargon goes right over my head. For the longest time I thought a stale fish was…

My wife and I where walking a path on Islay in Scotland when we encountered an elderly gentleman taking a break on a bicycle. She commented what a nice day it was for a ride. He said "aye, but my legs are to tired from paddlin"

I'm goofy and right handed. Its as easy as wiping my bum. Pretty much the only 'trick' this old guy knows.
Today I skinned to skyline then split skied the road to the g spot. Met a girl who was debating transitioning to solid at the same spot.
Figure that one out.
*also true story. Her name was *&$@# and she reeked of beer that she was sweating out from the night before. My kinda gal!
** I need ski lessons.

OK, I think I get it now.
A person would go "resort riding" to show their skanky girlfriend a stale fish. Which is apparently a trick and grab.
