It is very common that avalanche accidents, or just triggering (which is still an accident) happen in concert because meteorological influences are most typically regional - in this case weak layer formation in the recent arctic outbreak. A good friend of mine operated the Panorama franchise 4 decades ago - and described the snowpack as similar to the Rockies - I remember his description of it being like a house of cards - he even got out a deck of cards to demonstrate. This failure, though, sounds like it was more likely in new snow overlying weak layers that formed after Washington's birthday. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/invermere-avalanche-british-columbia-1.6764948#:~:text=There%20have%20now%20been%2012,trip%20in%20B.C.'s%20Interior. https://avalanche.ca/en/map https://avalanche.ca/blogs/deep-persistent-problem I would expect this same weak layer would be found in the Eastern Pasayten, Chelan Sawtooths and maybe upper reaches of the Enchantment area. The concept is called nearest neighbors.
