Great photo, it's awesome that you keep the memory of your son alive. There are a few of us here who have lost our children too soon. I have a hard time myself looking at photos of my son, although I don't know if he is dead or alive, he's been missing without a trace for over 2 years.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Can’t believe it’s already been 2 years since Jake left us. I think about him every single day.

2 years... Seems like just yesterday and 20 years ago all at the same time.

Every Smoketember I will remember Jake and his awesome theatrics. One of the most genuine human beings I've ever met.

Every day for two years I wish you were still here. Your sunglasses and sling came to Sherpa with me yesterday, you would have been so excited for me to climb the west ridge.

Happy birthday Jake. I think of you and miss you every day.
Remember this day? Azurite peak. You are wearing my pants because all you remembered to bring were corduroy jeans. I was so amused my joggers fit, even though they were too short. And the jacket had a broken zipper. You brought two puffy jackets both with broken zippers because everyone knows two broken puffy jackets are better than one. I so wish we could celebrate your birthday together but this is what it is. I love you.

Karin and I are on our way with Selena to hike to Gothic Basin tomorrow. I went up Del Campo in 2016 with Jake. I tried so hard to keep up with him to Foggy Lake that it made the last 1500 feet up to the peak so hard for me. We did summit with a million lady bugs and the kid that talked me up that last bit all the way to the top. It has been three years today that I haven’t been able to talk to my amazing son. In my heart we talk every day. We will get one of the best views ever tomorrow and I will think and remember all we did as a family while cherishing those 25 and a half years that you gave to Everyone you touched. ❤️❤️

Paul, today sure was an amazing cloud show. Perhaps Jake was checking in to say everything is OK!
In any case, I did pour a pint in my favorite glass in Jake's honor tonight when I got home.
To Jake!
To Jake!

Never knew him but obviously he touched the hearts of many, he passed on doing what he loved not far from my place, just as Franklin did on Lewis, warriors who loved and lived life to the fullest.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

I didn't know Jake, but I sure do see his name a lot. He clearly loved our mountains. Pinnacle Peak
