Woof! This is a big one. Good to know. Some more details here: https://wsdot.wa.gov/construction-planning/search-projects/sr-104-hood-canal-bridge-center-lock-rehabilitation https://engage.wsdot.wa.gov/north-olympic-peninsula-2023-construction/construction-projects-and-expected-delays/ Looks like no official dates are published but I found the following two quotes:
Quote:
What can travelers expect? The bridge will close to all traffic for up to four weekends this summer, weather-permitting. There are up to 14 nights where there will be intermittent closures to traffic. Crews need calm weather to perform this work.
Quote:
Travelers can expect up to four total weekend closures of the SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge. These closures are currently scheduled for 11 p.m. Friday night to 4 a.m. Monday. Crews will also require a series of night intermittent closures to all travelers.

There really aren't a lot of alternative routes. frown.gif I've been vague about where because the peninsula is huge, and full of cool stuff. If you're headed to Hurricane Ridge from Seattle (ish), most people would take the ferry to Kingston or Bainbridge, and drive over the Hood Canal Bridge. There's a Whidbey to Port Townsend ferry.

It's a really beautiful bridge.

You need reservations and it's been down to only one boat since the Pandemic started. Mukilteo-Clinton has had its problems too.

Looks like they changed their minds and are going to close the bridge at night rather then the weekends. https://wsdot.wa.gov/about/news/2023/change-plans-no-long-weekend-closures-required-sr-104-hood-canal-bridge-repairs
