I've never used one, don't know what to look for. I'd love to be able to fit my keys, phone, and hat inside.

Swim buoy with dry bag
I got mine when there were only two sizes, medium and large. I purchased large, shy of $50, so I think it was the 30 liter buoy. I do not remember whether PVC or TPU.
It's a wonderful item.
Pink caps are most visible in the water. Gulls like them, too.
What to look for:
--visibility, especially if you could be run over by a boat. This has happened.
--dry bag
--large holds more air, so better for flotation. It is not really a flotation device but does help; you can lean on it a little bit to stretch out a cramp, e.g.
For the most part, it is personal preference.
