I spent a while staring at the photo wondering where the lake was. Then I noticed Stuart. I think that might be my first ever correct guess. dance.gif

Dang I should have known that one. I camped there in 2020 starting from De Roux creek. I hit Esmerelda and Hawkins and had a peaceful night camping. The next day a 4x4 towing a trailer, the first other people I saw, showed up and started yelling just to yell. I packed up and got out of there real quick. Would not recommend camping there if you like peacefulness but I'm sure a lot of you know that. lol.gif

Looks like Scout Lake to me. The grassy area at the near end is a big clue.

Hey BPJ, just to clarify - is this another picture of Scout Lake, or some more difficult lake for us to figure out? smile.gif It sort of looks like part of Scout Lake I have a picture of.

That's Lake Caroline in the Enchantments, most likely from somewhere near the top of Cashmere. Rainier in the background was a big help, but funnily enough what actually gave it away, for me, were the burned trees at the left side. I was just at Eightmile and Caroline Lakes last fall, and anyone who's been there recently will remember the burned forest around Eightmile. We turned around at Little Caroline (out of view to the right). Here's Caroline from lake level, you can see the rock outcroppings at the top of your picture (point 7057).

Ha, sure is! Was a fun climb up the SE couloir. Snow free all the way to 8500' on June 4th! Can you believe it!? Here's a recent photo from the shore.
It was a very scenic trip.

Great pictures! There is certainly a big contrast from the snow situation last year. If this weather keeps up, we are going to be dry and crispy in a lot of places in mid-July. eek.gif My turn to post a lake. This is from Memorial Day (8 days ago) - it's one of the lakes I was inspired to visit while the snow lasted, by a recent trip report on this site.

Thanks for clarifying. We'll see if some of the resident lake sleuths can figure it out.
