I got an odd email from Recreation.gov pertaining to my reservation at Bedal Campground in 3 weeks:
This is an update related to your reservation at Bedal Campground. The dates affected are 5/29/2023 - 9/23/2023.
Barlow Pass is closed. To access the campground you need to use the Darrington, WA route.
This seems to imply that the road is staying closed all summer. But I can't find any reference to a long-term closure online. So more likely, it's just Recreation.gov being dumb as is their habit. Can anyone confirm which it is? I know that regardless, the road might not be open in 3 weeks, although usually it would be open by late June. And I can easily check current status closer to my trip.
