People are bad. Someone also blew up an old outhouse at the base of Deer creek road a couple of years ago. The main Big 4 parking lot has large bathrooms, seems they would replace the one at the picnic area though. Pretty sure they replaced all the wood in the boardwalk a couple of years ago, so it might be for other trail work. We will have to go off trail before the picnic area if we want to try again for the HooDoo mine.

The fool had fallen into the latrine the week before while groping for his keys and got pissed.

Wow, that seems a bit extreme to close that many roads and TH's all in one summer...but on the plus side there should be way less traffic flying by my place in Verlot and some of the roads, which are in horrible condition will hopefully be repaired.

No "hopefully" needed. The roads are being rebuilt with many new culverts, brushcutting, ditch work, grading, and asphalt patching on Pilchuck. I am excited to see the results. Thinning of old clearcuts is also occurring. Mallardy is open on weekends starting at noon on Fridays

Drove up to the Heather lake TH today, the road is graded and all the huge potholes are filled, amazing and also amazing that it took so long, lol.

Not too surprising with the shoe string budget the USFS was getting. The Great American Outdoors Act and the infrastructure bill are having awesome results! Having the timber sale on the SF Stilly also helped.
