I was mystified what Liberty (Jerry Falwell's school) was doing playing the Ducks. As expected it was a romp. Oregon deserved a better opponent.

The clock runs after a timeout? Literally you know nothing. Texas had two timeouts and used them. And the 40 second clock doesn’t start until the previous play is over. Try watching the game.
We weren't talking about a timeout. We were talking about a kneel down. Texas was out of timeouts at that point. As for your personal insults, I am SHOCKED that you would resort to those. I've never seen you do that once in my entire time on NWHikers.
Must be sarcasm, lol....no emoji for that yet?

We listened to the KJR radio broadcast of the Sugar Bowl. But for the championship game we plan to signup one of our tablets for 1 month of ESPN for $11. Then we will cable the iPad to the TV and watch on the TV. Too bad we did not think of doing that before the Sugar Bowl.

It's probably worth mentioning the 4th down fail in the red zone in the first half. Kicking a chip shot field goal then would have changed the game and perhaps made the flurry at the end moot. I'd say the biggest surprise and let-down was the number of questionable coaching decisions throughout the game.

Not looking good but what's up with the unbalanced officiating? No calls on Michigan, obvious holding on big plays. Huskies get called for a ticky tack hold on a pass that put them in position to tie the game.

Yea, was not impressed with the officiating, they were really letting them play. As the saying goes, "Defense wins Championships" and Penix was under pressure all game long, leading to several hurried and inaccurate throws. If the Huskies right offensive tackle is not a Senior, he should just quit now. Johnson Being injured hurt quite a lot as did the Huskies defense giving up huge plays to begin the game...I wonder how much holding went on during those initial big running plays?

Penix missed a bunch of throws, not necessarily pressured by the Michigan defense. He was just off tonight. Oh well, good year, but didn't seem like they played their best game. More like the lackluster games they had this year against bad teams, but against a top opponent.

True, even on a lot of his non-pressured attempts, his passes were overthrown. Not having a healthy running back was a big problem, leading to Michigan's pass rush to tee off. At the start of the game they said that the Huskies were underdogs in 4 of their past 5 games, that seems crazy for an undefeated team. All in all though it was a great season and at least the game was close most of the way. The way things began, it looked like a blow out.

We knew this was the last year for Penix. No surprise Odunze declared for the draft. Now DeBoer is off to Alabama to replace the retired Saban. Hope everybody enjoyed it, not gonna see a season like that at UW for a long, long time.

Looks like they hired Jedd Fisch from Arizona. DeBoer did a great job of turning the program around over the last 2 years, but some of the coaching was suspect IMO, especially on defense giving up big plays before halftime and end of games, and for half of the title game, broken record. If they can continue to attract and retain talent I think they do just fine.

Fisch did a fine job of turning around Arizona, they were a solid team this year. The offense is GUTTED. Not only Odunze, but McMillan, Polk and Johnson all declared for the draft. With Penix using up eligibility, that's pretty much all the starters at the skill positions.

Here is a list of Huskies that have entered the transfer portal after DeBoer moved to the SEC: Tre Watson, TE, senior (signed with Texas A&M) Taeshaun Lyons, WR, sophomore (signed with Utah) Dylan Morris, QB, redshirt senior (signed with James Madison) Jaivion Green, CB, junior (signed with Stanford) Austin Harnetiaux, LB, sophomore Austin Mack, QB, redshirt-freshman Nate Kalepo, OG, redshirt-senior Dyson McCutcheon, DB, redshirt junior Asa Turner, S, senior Will Rogers, QB, senior Ethan Barr, LB, senior Jabbar Muhammad, Sr., cornerback Mishael Powell, S, redshirt senior William Haskell, QB, redshirt junior Jakson Bermon, S, redshirt sophomore Griffin Waiss, TE, redshirt-junior At least four athletes who previously committed to Washington announced their intention to decommit over the weekend after DeBoer's exit. Noah Carter, DE, Centennial HS, Peoria, Ariz. Dominic Kirks, DT, Riverside HS, Painesville, Ohio Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, LB, Bethel HS Keona Wilhite, DE, Salpointe Catholic, Ariz. The recent upheaval comes as the Huskies will lose receivers Rome Odunze, Ja'Lynn Polk and Jalen McMillan and running back Dillon Johnson. Even though they have de-committed, until they sign with another team they can still return to Wa.
