I did this trip last year when visiting Whistler with the family, but never posted a report here. I was looking through the photos and it brought back good memories that I wanted to share. Maybe it will inspire other people heading up to BC smile.gif (be careful with avy conditions, obviously). The trailhead is at ~1900ft and was easy to drive to at the time. Roundrip distance (trailhead, tusk, lake, trailhead, some detours) is 21 miles, ~6000ft gain I started at 3am because I really wanted to see the sunrise at elevation. Remarkably, I ran into another snowshoer at 3am and we teamed up the rest of the day. I carefully checked the route to avoid any steep terrain, and indeed it was mostly a very long scenic slog to 7000ft. This report is definitely worthless without pics wink.gif All photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bravenboer/albums/72177720307544743/

Gorgeous. I was there some 20+ years ago in flower season and these photos brought back memories. It looks like a great place to snowshoe.

Backpacking: limited to one pack at a time. Cameras: limited to as many as I can carry.

21 miles to, and 21 back in one day? On snowshoes? You are superhuman!

No sorry, my phrasing was confusing (I'll edit). It is 21 miles roundtrip.
