I believe your father purchased the McHale with the spectra material? I'd be curious, since I've only seen his "beefy" fabric packs. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with one of his packs. I just have to wrestle with the idea of putting that much money out for a pack. Thanks Brian.

Yeah, he got the Spectra weave material. McHale doesn't do a Spectra fabric pack, he uses the stuff that has a fiber woven in like ripstop. It seems like it should hold up.
