What's the difference between the sentbox and outbox in the PM's and how do they work?

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

When you send a PM, a copy goes in your Outbox until the recipient has read it, then it gets moved to your Sentbox. I believe that's how it works. Tom can correct me if I'm wrong.
