I'm not so sure about the National Geologic Trail idea, but the related articles included some interesting links. One of them, that I've called Geology 101 provides good, visually keyed information about a wide variety of basic geolgic topics, from mineral identification to description of land forms. It might be a useful resource when Quark starts talking about bed loads or natural levees. David
