Trip Report Comment Policy
Given the recent trend of TRs hijacked by arguments and "spray" we are implementing a policy to stop this. If you have an issue with something in a Trip Report, send a PM or take it to another part of the forum and start a generic discussion. Thanks. Edit: since some are confused about the new policy, here's some clarification:
|Mean spirited, nit-picky debate is what isn't allowed.
-Dropping in on a trip report to pick apart the grammar or spelling.
-Posting about how stupid someone is for having a dog at a certain place.
-Posting that somebody is only inviting drama.
Those are just some recent examples of what we're clamping down on. Good natured back and forth conversations are totally fine.
Basically, in trip reports, we're asking you all to stop and think about what you're typing. Be nice. Be polite. If you have an honest criticism, raise it in a PM or separate thread. It's just that simple.

If it's divisive or highly contentious and not outdoor related it's pseudo-politics and off limits at NWHikers. You agree to check such discussions at the door.
UPDATE (9/3/2020): We are implementing a stricter posting standard. Call it the family rule. Treat this community as you would your family. Give others the benefit of the doubt. Be constructive if raising a valid criticism. Check your negativity at the door. If you have an issue with something in a trip report send a private message instead of calling someone out publicly. Treat others as you would like to be treated. If you just come here to argue, please don't. The bar on the internet may be low, but it really isn't hard to be nice. If you bring negativity to the forum you will be asked to leave.

As part of this commitment we place a high priority on web continuity and cache external images embedded in posts to minimize dependence on external sites. If you no longer wish your images to be cached here, simply remove them from your posts and we will no longer cache or display them. Other Posting Rules
You are free to discuss firearms / hunting in this topic within the guidelines of the first post. Outdoor related political discussion within the context of public lands should be limited to the stewardship forum. Other political discussion is off limits at NWHikers.
