Believe it or not I actually have a vehicle and drivers license now. Haven't been out on a trail though in close to forever. Been attempting to get in shape though climbing up and down the staircase of 7 stories at school during my breaks. I would love to bring my babe, but alas i'm broke and do not have a kid pack so she will have to stay home. So, anyhow, anyone wanna meet up with me someplace and carpool with me to the trailhead? I'm up for suggestions on hikes altho I do miss that nice little lake up on bandara... can't recall the name but it's the first of a chain of lakes I know.

How in shape are you feeling? Do you like snow?

Are you planning an overnight or a day hike?
I am planning a very easy hike and ON via the Baker Lake road, an easy 3 mile hike and camp in the NP.
Like you, I will leave my little one at home!

Hi again,
Lets hope the weather is nice tomorrow and happy hiking!
here is a pic of my little dude on the bridge over Baker River...
This photo was taken on the Baker River Trail in Mount Baker National Forest, part of the Pacific Northwest Trail.

I am planning to hike on saturday (without my little guy as well!), but am hoping to do Granite, Mailbox, etc. something with elevation gain. Not sure if you'd be up for this.

Looking to do the same. My mtn ride is out of commsion at the moment and looking to get out and gain some elevation tomorrow. I can get anywhere to carpool, just not to far off the main rds.

Let's do it! Little Hiker Mom, what do you think? Can you join? If not this trip, then let's try again as your hiking stamina improves?
I have wheels and can drive. If you want to go w/me, let me know how to get in touch with you.

Nah, not up to that kind of elevation gain. Gotta take it somewhat easy too as i'm getting over a case of gastritis that hurts like somethin else! And I thought I had a babysitter lined up but didn't account for her spending the weekend with my mom. Hmm... dang. Well I guess i'm waiting on a free kid hiking pack then. lol.
