We started out early 8:30, BN RR, was to close the rd. we access Hwy. 2 on at 9am. Got to the trailhead about 9:30am, proceeded down the trail, watching for waterfalls and other interesting things. About a mile in we proceeded across the river, (the one a fellow poster had trouble with last weekend), it was pretty spooky, crossing with two children. The girls probably did better than i. Lots of bubbles, we then proceeded up a grade for a little while and meet up with the big Noble Fir, then on the the rock side. Right after the rock slide was a neat little pond, then the trail goes up a little knoll and back down and there is Trout Lake, very buggy. So we went back to the pond, and proceeded to get wet. It took all of 45 min. to hike out. Was a really beautiful little hike to go on.
