Hello all.
Before I embark on a project, I thought I would ask around; does anybody have a Palm Pilot (hanDBase) database of the FS trails?
If not, is there a source listing the basic info (location, distance, etc)? I could dig it all by hand from the WTA (et al.), but I'm lazy and avoid such things when I can.
If I could get a CSV or other formatted data file, it would be trivial to convert... which could then lead to a good hiking log program.

Or are you asking about maintaining a database of hikes after you actually come home?
I was meaning after the hike to keep a log of where you've been, times, elevations, etc.
To actually carry a Palm on a hike? Lord no. I carry my cell phone grudgingly (and turned off in my pack) for emergency use only. Why lug the stuff around the woods that you are trying to get away from?
