Roast chicken (French style in the Dutch Oven - wait - ... dizzy.gif ), glazed carrots, spinach salad, and homemade stuffing (our very first attempt and fully from scratch (even our homemade stock from the last roast chicken)) + Stone Imperial Russian Stout (I know perhaps not the ideal pairing, but MEH) souse.gif followed by some chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I may explode...or pass out. pig.gif bugeyes.gif If felt great to cook a real meal though. It was the first I've had time to prepare in far longer than I'd like to think about.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Take risks not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping I may not have anyone rocking my world right now but, I don't have anyone messing it up either.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

You can tell the difference? clown.gif tongue.gif I was feeling lazy last night after driving most of the day so it was a simple sirloin steak and a couple ears of corn on the BBQ with a couple chocolate chip cookies for dessert. True Cod was on sale at the market for only $3.99 when I went to pick up the steak though so bought about a pound and a half and am going to make fish-n-chips tonight.

Lettuce is coming on strong in the garden. Tonight's garden salad dinner was large mixed lettuce salad with radishes from the garden, cukes, avocado, tomato, olives and feta cheese topped with some sauteed prawns and dressed with a vinaigrette. Dessert - homemade roasted strawberry ice cream. Love my Cuinnart ice cream maker.

I would imagine this recipe is more savory than what's served typically in Hawaii, but I've yet to eat one without making some sort of mildly embarrassing noise.
