Dicey and I were on SFJ a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, we only had a few minutes to look for Ed due to impending darkness and could not locate the register. frown.gif We sadly could not decipher the description of where it is located, or if we did, there were just too many piles of rocks (the entire mountain is a big pile of rocks, after all) and bits of recent snowfall also made things more annoying. If anyone goes up to look for it, try to give yourself some extra time to hunt for it. HiT, you wouldn't happen to have a photo, would you?

Ed is no longer near 7FJ. In transit.

Placed on Iron Peak in the Teanaway. No TR coming. I have pics of exact location and will have exact coords as well. I would like to keep the location non-public to avoid it come up missing like Oly. Feel free to PM me.

The list of Ed's locations is missing a campout social, I don't exactly remember which one but I believe it was one of the Teeth of the Larch events on Bethel Ridge.

Found on Iron Peak on 6/16. We carried it up Davis Peak, but ended up taking it back down with us after we stopped short at the old lookout site. We're glad we still have it because it gave us the chance to read the previous logs. Reading them is very a emotional experience.

We placed this register on Earl Peak last weekend. We have pics and coordinates if anyone so desires. It is well-hidden and unlikely to be found by accident. Vague instructions: standing next the regular summit register, turn and face Argonaut Peak. There is a seat-like structure in the rocks along that line not far away. Sadly, we forgot to write anything in the register before we covered it up and didn't think about it until we were halfway back down the trail.

Seeing this thread caused me to go back and reread every single one of those posts from six years ago. 'Such touching and heartfelt tribute to a great man. Rest in peace, Ed. ~z

I suppose Ed is still up in Earl Peak. I'm planning to climb Slesse next weekend. If anyone snags him in the meantime and wants me to take him up i'm sure he'd enjoy the views.
