Sorry Ski. I should have been more specific. (I'm an idjit.) Hulksmash, where is the new trail? (Where I think?)

Me, too, except my time was approximately 30 minute, I was on the climbers side, not racers like Zachster. Go Team JT!

I was thinking it looks like some kind of Protection Racket. "Give us a few ounces of those peanuts, and we'll make sure your visit is not disturbed"....

Reminds me of hiking the "other" and nearby Mt Finlayson in Goldstream Prov. Park just west of Victoria, VI. Both mountains were named after the same man, Roderick Finlayson, an accountant at the Hudson Bay Co. in the 19th c. And there's a chance you can see one mountain from another. Yes, the US one is only 285ft elevation, but the Canadian one is 1400ft. Maybe someone can figure out if Peakfinder can do it. Anyway, the BC Mt Finlayson is fairly strenuous, class 3, if you take the trail from south Finlayson Arm inside Goldstream Park. The other longer trail from the north in Gowland Todd park is easier. Link to a good TR, not mine, of the south trail.
