Just wondering why the warning topic has been locked. I would have liked to voice my opinion (if late) on the subject of sniping car thieves.

Just where is it I can find beaver, bear, and other critters that are worth cash money when skint?

Probably because the gun thing has been about done to death. This place resembles a gun board more than a hiking board sometimes. But some people (*poke BPJ*) just can't help themselves.

Although I have to plead guilty to posting (facetiously) in that thread, I thought Tom's conclusion was a perfect ending . . . Dead Horse lol.gif

You can always start a new topic in the appropriate forum and/or resurrect a former discussion that hasn't been locked.

Ah, sweet relief. Perhaps the gun-packing backpackers among us should start their own discussion board....I'm sure there are folks all across the land that would want to get into these sorts of discussions. Not inciting, just suggesting.

Moderators on discussion boards can lock topics at their discretion. Then no one can post anything else on that topic. Sometimes it stops the conversation, and sometimes a new thread gets started by the relentless discussers. Mods can also move threads or delete them, and edit posts or delete them.

What we could use here is the Mod Squad.
