They are your typical NY lowball scam artist. They advertise a camera below cost, then call you to "confirm your order" and give you the high pressure sales pitch to buy overpriced accessories, extended warranty, etc. If you bite, you end up paying more than you should. If you don't bite they either refuse to sell you the camera or charge your card and keep telling you it's going to ship "any day". Been there, done that, waste of time. There are better ways of getting digicams at or below cost, but I won't bore everyone with the details .
Is this outfit advertised in Popular Pornography? Usually those places have to conform to the magazine's barest standards. I've never had trouble with any mail odor places over the past 25 years.
I don't know about the adverts.
Tom basically summed up my experience, though I managed with a rough struggle to get some money refunded.
Rather than figure out exactly how much better I could have done elsewhere, I am looking at the fact that I ran over $30 over my original budget. What is done is done.
Love the new camera anyhow. Super neat and cool.
