We drove to the TH 25+ miles from the camp. Not that far (If you ask me. But to some 30 miles is driving across the country )

Hmmm. Well, I've "heard" of cattle. Even seen a few of 'em. Recently as a matter of fact.

Was on a flight earlier this week that flew over the area and captured this aerial. All that crumbly rock on Tieton Peak doesn't look too bad from 30,000'.

Looking at the topo perhaps the northern shelf (~6600) offers a better approach to avoid all the loose rock.
