If you listen mainly to MP3s, what are the last 5 you listened to?
If you listen to mainly hard-copy media, what are the last 5 [albums|casettes|8-tracks|CDs|etc] you listened to?
Me:
Bob Marley, "Iron Lion Zion"
Aphex Twin, "Come to Daddy"
Logic Bomb, "The Pawn"
Shpongle, "The StarShpongled Banner"
The White Stripes, "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground"
I've got 993 songs on random at work
Speaking of work... will this day ever end??

I listen to this every once in a while when I need a little lift. Enjoy!

12Twelve
Loka
Kilimanjaro Dark Jazz Ensemble
The ubiquitous Nirvana
Mahavishnu Orchestra
I like "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground". The guitar sounds has the heaviness of a gigantic gorilla.

I had my typical knee-jerk reaction to The White Stripes: they were getting a lot of radio play, and most everything I hear on the radio sucks. But then I saw them on SNL, and ... they won me over. I like a ton of their stuff, and dig the heck out of Jack White's guitar chops.

I've enjoyed most of what I've listened to from the White Stripes. But as you mentioned, overplay can ruin the best of songs. "Seven Nation Army" is a good example. "Blue Orchid" on the other hand will take a lot of listening for me to warm up to.

Have you heard of St. Germain? Along the lines of T. Corp., with a little more jazz infused.

I turn on the sattelite xm station to "the groove"..its R & B and sould from the 70's.
Music used to be a big part in my house..now its only a big part while I am driving..the only time to not have it interupted by screaming family members.

I haven't been keeping track exactly, but I've been listening to Pandora and one of the "stations" I created, Fake Plastic Trees.

It's just in my head, but it won't leave. From White Christmas:

There were never such devoted sisters
